ORGANISING TIPS

‎ ‎ ‎ ORGANISING YOUR KAMBALA REUNION

Reunions are a wonderful chance to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate your Kambala years. Here are some simple steps to make planning your event easy.

Get Started

  • Request your class list from Donna Kelly-Smith, Alumni Relations Manager:
    kog@kambala.nsw.edu.au
    (02) 9388 6888
  • Use WhatsApp or Facebook groups to connect with classmates whose details may be missing.
  • Form a small organising team (including at least one boarder if possible)

Budget & Payments

  • Set a per-head budget and allow about $10 extra per person for extras (decorations, photos, etc).
  • Use Humanitix or TryBooking to manage payments – avoid cash or pay-on-the-day.

Pick a Date & Venue

  • Suggest 2–3 possible dates and check with your cohort (and overseas classmates).
  • Local restaurants, hotels or clubs usually offer the best value. On-campus reunions may be possible but incur additional costs to a normal venue.
  • Keep things affordable – consider prepaid food with guests buying their own drinks.
  • Popular local venues for Kambala Old Girl Reunions: 18 Footers Double Bay, Vaucluse House Tea Rooms, The Bellevue Hotel Paddington, The Empire Lounge Rose Bay, The Sheaf, The Watson's Bay Hotel, The Royal Paddington.

KOG Support

We'll help by:

  • Providing your class list.
  • Sharing your digital invitation (JPEG format) on KOG socials — provided the whole year is invited.
  • Featuring your reunion photo and short write-up in The Soubeiran.

School Tours

  • Tours run on Saturdays, 10:00–10:30am Only, during Kambala school term time (min. 15 people).
  • Book at least one month in advance via kog@kambala.nsw.edu.au and send a final list of attendees two weeks before.
  • If planning a tour, a Saturday lunchtime reunion works best.
  • In the event you don't have enough people interested for a Saturday morning tour, please ask them to call the KOG office and discuss arranging a tour during school hours.

‎ ‎ ‎ YOUR ROLE AS ORGANISER

  • Contact classmates, send invitations and manage RSVPs.
  • Book the venue, manage the budget and keep your cohort updated.
  • Collect photos or memorabilia to display and organise name badges, music and decorations.

After the event, send to kog@kambala.nsw.edu.au:

  • A high-res group photo (JPEG, min. 1MB).
  • A 150-word summary for The Soubeiran.
  • Updated contact details (with permission) to keep our database current.
